Photo policy
MRDF believes in the need to promote justice, fairness, respect and solidarity in the world, and it seeks to adhere to these principles in the way it uses images in its communications. Images are chosen with the desire to uphold the dignity of the people with whom we and our partners work, as well as improving public understanding of the reality of the situations they face. Wherever possible, people depicted have given permission for their images and stories to be used. A copy of our full photo policy is available upon request.

Permission is not required to use MRDF images to promote the work of MRDF locally (e.g. church websites or newsletters). Permission must be requested to use an MRDF image for any other purpose – whether charitable or commercial – using this form. Once the form has been received by MRDF, and if permission has been granted, we will send a high resolution image by e-mail or on CD. Please allow at least three weeks for requests to be dealt with. For commercial use a donation of £50 per image is requested.
MRDF images should be used for the purpose stated only, should not be altered and should not be stored in any way after use. MRDF images should not be shared with other charities or NGOs, or used in ways that undermine the aims of MRDF. If you use an MRDF image, we would appreciate it if you could send a copy of the publication or weblink to MRDF.
