By supporting a particular project, your congregation can make more small miracles possible with MRDF.
Partner a Project gives churches, groups and individuals the chance to make a personal connection with local communities in Cameroon, Mali or Uganda. Through direct sponsorship and regular updates from the projects, you get the chance to see the lasting difference you are making and learn about a real community in another part of the world.
Cameroon
The environment is an essential part of people's daily lives in Cameroon – people rely on the soil, trees, water and other forest resources to survive and to generate an income. But most people have limited land, and intensive farming has decreased the fertility of the soil.
Through its local partner, MRDF provides training and advice on sustainable agriculture. Farmers can attend workshops that cover topics such as land and livestock management and book-keeping.
This training is making a remarkable difference in these communities, with many farmers now able to pay for school fees and medical expenses.

Mali
With only a small number of professional doctors, midwives and nurses in the whole country, and much of the population living in inaccessible villages, few people have easy access to medical services or advice. This situation turns treatable health problems such as malaria, dysentery and diphtheria into killers. Malnutrition is also a constant threat to children, with two in 10 children dying before their fifth birthday.
Working with a local partner, MRDF is helping to reverse that trend in remote villages in the south of the country. It supports training workshops for local people in healthcare and midwifery skills and promotes health education.

Uganda
Access to clean water is necessary to live a healthy life, but many people in Uganda don't have it, putting them at risk of deadly diseases such as cholera, typhoid or hookworms.
Through its partner organisation, MRDF facilitates the building of wells in remote Ugandan villages and also provides washing facilities, latrines and hygiene education. All of these services have led to a notable reduction in the incidence of deadly infections in this part of southern Uganda.
You can help to bring these vital services to some of the poorest people in Cameroon, Mali and Uganda by supporting our Partner a Project scheme.

Donations to each project will go towards the work of the MRDF partner organisation specified by the donor. In the event that we receive more money than can be reasonably used in a cost-effective way, surplus funds will be redirected to similar work in Africa, Asia or Latin America.
