800 million people worldwide don't have enough food to survive or live healthy lives. 115 million children never have the opportunity to go to school. Levels of poverty and injustice in our world are unacceptable, blighting lives and hopes.
MRDF and its partners seek to speak out for the poor and challenge those who make the rules. We all have a responsibility to try to change 'the system', as well as change individual lives.
We work with others, like the Trade Justice Movement and the Jubilee Debt Campaign, to challenge our own leaders to take action.
A large number of MRDF supporters were involved in MAKE POVERTY HISTORY during 2005, expressing an overwhelming commitment to tackling global poverty. Taking part in mass rallies, meeting with MPs, writing letters and sending postcards are all ways to get your voice heard on the issues that matter to you.
MRDF continues to support active and united campaigning on trade, debt and aid.
