Make small miracles possible with MRDF this Christmas
New gifts for Christmas 2008 will be announced in the autumn.
You’ll receive a fridge magnet representing the gift that you buy and will have the satisfaction of knowing that the money you spend instead of presents this Christmas will help to make small miracles possible.
More Christmas fundraising ideas
- Christmas cards are a popular church fundraiser. Some churches run a card delivery system where, for a small donation, a volunteer will deliver your cards to others within the church. In other churches, instead of sending cards, everyone writes their greetings on a poster or hangs a single card on the church Christmas tree, donating the money saved.
- In 2006, Alton Methodist Church in Hampshire even made their own Christmas cards to sell and gave the profits to MRDF and other charities.
- Does your church put on a Christmas nativity play, pantomime or concert? Allocate donations at the door or for refreshments to MRDF’s Christmas appeal.
- Or take your talents out and about and go carol singing in your neighbourhood. Make sure you check with your local authority first to ensure that you are within the law.
- Pennies and pounds for pies: hold a Christmas party with mince pies for friends and family, with donations to MRDF.
- If you choose to give a donation to MRDF in lieu of Christmas gifts, find out here about how ways to give to MRDF.
