ethical tips

MRDF has joined together with the Methodist Recorder to bring you one simple idea each week to help you live ethically.

Each week, MRDF and the Methodist Recorder will bring you one simple idea to help you live ethically. From choosing to buy fair trade to cutting your carbon emissions we will suggest many ways to show you care about the world's poor and are willing to take actions that make a positive difference to their lives. A different ethical tip will be featured every week until 31 August 2010.

This week's tip:

Eat seasonally. Don't expect to have all your favourite fruit and veg all year round. You don't have to have spring onion in your salad in January, especially if it has to be flown in from Mexico. Buy things that are in season in your corner of the globe. Better yet, shop at a local farmers' market: that way, you know that it is fresh, local and ethical. www.farmersmarket.net
