Fun and fundraising for MRDF's 10k runners

Five intrepid runners are braving the summer heat to run around London’s landmarks for the Methodist Relief and Development Fund (MRDF).

William Barklam, Reuben Collins, John Craggs, Mandie Jones and Chidi Onyeforo will be amongst more than 20,000 people taking part in the British 10k London Run on 1 July.

Three of MRDF’s runners are under 21, including two members of Methodist Youth Executive, Chidi and Reuben. According to Reuben, he is “not the most athletic person in the world” but is determined to complete the race and has promised to dye his hair blue or green if he raises over £400.

Volunteering in MRDF’s office made university student Mandie want to run. Her aim is to “raise money, raise awareness, get fit and have fun.”

The money raised from the race will help MRDF make small miracles possible for people living in the world’s poorest communities.
