Reclaiming the Gift Aid on donations gives MRDF an extra 28% to spend where it is most urgently needed.
After the Tsunami, your donations helped people like Anjanamma (left) to start to earn a living again. No amount is too small to be miraculous.
If you are organising a church collection, order free MRDF gift aid envelopes for your whole congregation. Order gift aid envelopes now.
For every £1 donated by a UK taxpayer who signs a gift aid form, MRDF can claim back an extra 28p. In 2005-06, we reclaimed £106,000 from the UK government through gift aid. If all of our income had been gift-aided, it would have covered all of MRDF's commitment to food security in Africa and all of its work in Latin America!
If you use your own gift aid envelopes or forms, you must include the following information; otherwise the Inland Revenue may not accept it.
Name of charity (Methodist Relief & Development Fund)
Charity number 291691
Amount of donation
Name and address of donor
The statement: "I pay income tax/capital gains tax equivalent to the amount MRDF will be reclaiming on my donation. Please reclaim the tax on all donations I have made in the last six years and all donations I make hereafter."
