give a donation

right: your gift can give help street children, like Rita in Bangladesh, safety, shelter and the opportunity to learn a trade.
Donate online here or set up a direct debit online (online gifts go to general funds and cannot currently be designated to a particular appeal).  All online donations use a secure transaction service.

Why give to MRDF?

MRDF is currently accepting donations for emergency relief in Zimbabwe, Darfur and in response to recent floods in Mexico.

Call 020 7224 4814 to give by credit or debit card over the phone. Please have your card ready when you call.

Send cheques made payable to 'Methodist Relief and Development Fund' or 'MRDF' to:

MRDF, 25 Marylebone Road, London, NW1 5JR.

If you are giving to a specific country, partner or appeal, please mark this on a covering note, not on the cheque itself. We can only channel money to current partners and appeals, if you are unsure whether MRDF can accept a particular designated donation, please contact us to check.

However you give, don't forget to gift aid it!

If you pay income tax or capital gains tax, gift aid makes your gift go further at no extra cost to you. For every £1 donated by a UK taxpayer who signs a gift aid form, MRDF can claim an extra 28p. You must pay sufficient income/capital gains tax to cover the amount that MRDF will reclaim on your donation.

In 2005-06, we reclaimed £106,000 from the UK government through gift aid. If all of our income had been gift-aided, it would have paid for all of MRDF's commitment to food security in Africa and all of its work in Latin America.

Download a gift aid form (18kb PDF) here to print, complete and post to the MRDF office or fill in an online gift aid form. You only need to complete this form once for it to cover all donations made to MRDF in the last 6 years and any future donations that you make.
