London 10K

Four runners took part in the British 10K London Run in aid of MRDF on Sunday 1 July: Chidi Onyeforo, Mandie Jones, William Barklam and Reuben Collings.

Chidi, Reuben and Mandie ran together supporting each other along the way - all finishing the race in 56 minutes.

Chidi Onyeforo, a member of the Methodist Youth Exec, said: "The hardest part of the race was on London Bridge when the sun decided to shine on us zapping our energy away. However Reuben still had enough energy to dance to the music being played by the nearby band. I decided to run as I thought supporting MRDF in their charitable work would set a good example to the young people in my church and circuit."

Reuben Collings, also a youth exec member, committed to dye his hair if he raised over £400 for MRDF - you can see the result from the photographs above!

Mandie Jones has been volunteering in MRDF's office since last Autumn. She told her sponsors: "My insider info can guarantee that your money gets spent on those in need. I really really enjoyed the race - thinking about the people we were running for kept me going when my legs wanted to drop off!"

The 4 runners have already raised nearly £1,000 in total with money still coming in.
