London Marathon 2008

Last year, Jim Parrish and Val Lovett raised over £2,500 for our work by using their places in the London Marathon. This year, three supporters are taking part on behalf of MRDF. 71-year-old Jim Parrish is running again - call 020 7467 5132 to sponsor him. You can also sponsor Adrian Burton and Nick Claydon, who are running for MRDF for the first time.

Ideas and inspiration

A sponsored dip in the Irish sea in November by six hardy swimmers from the Sandbach and Alsager Circuit impressed a lot of sponsors.

Dudley Coates, Vice President of the Methodist Conference, walked over 100 miles along the South-West Coast Path from Poole to Minehead in the summer of 2007.

Between April and September 2007, MRDF supporter Graham Hart walked from John O'Groats to Land's End to raise money for MRDF.
