Coast to Coast - 8 - 21 June 2010
Stephen Dando, a member of Southwell Methodist Church in Nottinghamshire, will be putting on his walking boots for MRDF to complete the Coast to Coast. The walk, which is an impressive 190 miles, takes in some stunning landscapes including the Lake District, the Pennines and the North York Moors. Stephen is hoping to raise £1,000 for the continuing work of MRDF with some of the world’s poorest communities.
British 10K Run - 11 July 2010
Could you run the British 10K for us this year? Every summer, thousands of people take part in this annual event and raise thousands of pounds for charity. We have guaranteed places in the London race which will take you past historic landmarks such as Big Ben, St Paul's Cathedral and Tower Bridge, and you can help us raise money for our life-changing work.

A £60,000 climb 2011
Keen walker Graham Hart is embarking on a special challenge to mark his 60th birthday. From March 2011 to October 2011, he will be climbing over 200 hills and mountains in the Lake District following the routes of writer Alfred Wainwright. Graham, a member of Bramford Road Methodist Church in Ipswich, hopes this challenge will raise over £60,000 for MRDF’s work with some of the poorest communities around the world.
Revd Margaret Crawshaw and her husband, Gerard, trekked an impressive 63 miles in May 2009 as they followed St. Cuthbert's Way in Northumbria. The couple, from Denton Methodist Church in Manchester, raised over £450 for the work of MRDF.
MRDF staff member Simeon Mitchell and supporter David Paterson took part in the British 10K run in 2009, raising hundreds of pounds to support our work. Find out more
For the past few years, Lucas Meagor has been donating all the money he has raised on sponsored runs to the work of MRDF. He ran the London Marathon in 2006 and 2009 for MRDF. In 2009, 73-year old Jim Parrish ran his fifth London Marathon for us and raised over £1,000.
