MRDF is governed by a Board of Trustees who are elected for a period of six years and approved by Methodist Council.

The Board has responsibility for the strategic direction of the organisation and has ultimate responsibility in law for its assets and activities.  Trustees, who are all Methodist, meet quarterly but also provide ongoing guidance and support to the staff team.
